After School Care Programme

CUS offers an After School Care service for the parents of boys in the junior school and girls in Loreto College primary school, St Stephen's Green.

The After School Care service is an integral part of CUS primary school and provides a friendly, supportive environment in which the child's skills and experience are developed through the use of activities and games.

The service is available from 1.45 pm to 6.00 pm Monday - Friday.

It is also available from 8.30 pm to 6.00 pm during school mid-term breaks and during the summer months.

During the school year there is a daily routine in place for the children who attend to allow them time to complete homework and enjoy creative play.  A special schedule is drawn up for the mid term and summer breaks which includes day trips, educational and fun filled interactive activities.

The boys and girls who attend the After School Care service are provided with a hot, nutritious meal which is cooked daily in our school canteen.

There are both weekly and hourly rates available in After School Care to meet the requirements of all parents.

For further information on the After School Care programme please contact Eileen Gillespie or Terry McLoughlin through the school office.

Please enter here to hear from our Principal, Martin Daly sm.

This September the 1st group of pupils to begin with us in Junior Infants will enter the Secondary School.  Having arrived at age 4 and in the case of Pre-School at age 3, they will spend up to 15 years with us.

Arising from my experiences as a therapist and as Principal I am convinced that boys need more and more minding. In the increasingly uncertain world to which we are preparing them, providing continuity and stability from Pre-School to Leaving Certificate develops this confidence and the skills they need to make their way in the world.

CUS is situated on Lower Leeson Street.
